POS RAKYAT – Replacing Azmi Abubakar, PSI Banten Provincial Chair Muhammad Hafiz Ardianto said his team is ready to win as many legislative seats as possible.
Known as Hafiz, he said the new PSI Banten structure is solid ahead of 2024. “Consolidation is running smoothly. All cadres and officials are working together with full spirit, making Banten a PSI vote stronghold,” he told posrakyat.id on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
“We are ready to win 27 seats in the provincial legislature and 2 seats in the national parliament. We are also preparing for party verification at the General Elections Commission,” he added.
After Azmi Abubakar stepped down, Hafiz said the new provincial leadership is preparing every component to pass verification.
“The new leadership will prepare everything so the verification goes smoothly without obstacles,” he said after receiving his PSI appointment letter.
Hafiz said PSI Banten continues coordinating closely with national and regional boards.
He noted that DPRD Banten member Maretta Dian Arthanti, formerly deputy chair, now serves as secretary. Yuliana Rijanto and Ratih Utami now serve as treasurer and deputy treasurer.
“Several new faces have also joined to strengthen the organization. Lerru Yustira and Irwan Acep Wijaya Tjee serve as deputy chairs. Irwan previously served as PSI Tangerang city chair from 2014 to 2019,” he said.
Muhammad Bima Januri, former Tangsel PSI city division chair, now serves as vice secretary, Hafiz added.
Hafiz expressed gratitude to Azmi Abubakar for his dedication as the previous PSI Banten chair.
“We convey our highest appreciation to Azmi Abubakar for his dedication as PSI Banten chair,” he said.
PSI Banten currently has 8 regional branches and 6 legislature members: one PSI faction in Tangsel city council, one member in the Banten provincial legislature, and one member in Tangerang city council.
